Blizzard of 2010 – Border collie mania continued

February 15th, 2010 Averill 1 comment

Nothing ever changes for our Border collies. Jolt wants his frisbee, Jig has his ball, and Cash and Patch just herd Jig and Jolt. Zip is somewhere else, probably on Averill's skis, looking up at her; and Grace E is certainly standing near, barking at Karen. The unseen Aussie, Genie, is definitely up to no good. Jolt loves his snow

Zip wonders what Jolt is thinking, wonders if she should try it too. Nahhh. Too many tennis balls to control.

This is yet another example of Border collie brilliance. Jolt does love the snow. He loves to chase snowflakes as they scatter around; he loves to catch snow as we toss it from the shovel; he loves to scoop his head into the loose snow and come up covered. Anybody know why? Zip wonders too. She thinks the stuff is ok but has too many other things to do than to play with it. Play in it, yes – with it, not so much.

Zip’s obsession

Zip learning to multi-task. Next: THREE tennis balls! (not sure when that will be) She's a very serious little girl dog. The difficulty hasn't been for her to pick up two balls at a time; it's been for her to stay still long enough for me to capture this. She runs to me and usually spits one out. It's the only time she's really willing to share.

Joon in the snowfall on the 19th.

Joon waiting to come in during the snowfall. I took this from behind the storm window, warm and dry.
